Take some time for yourself this week, you deserve it!If your anything like me, you probably spend most of your week in a rush. From the minute my alarm goes off in the morning my work day starts. Wake up, coffee (or matcha), exercise, and work.
I always make a point to spend some time each day for my yoga practice, but this Fall one of my goals is to make sure I’m spending enough time on self care.
You’re probably wondering…what exactly does self care involve? Well, it can really be anything you want that helps you relax and de-stress. (meditation, listening to music, spending time outdoors, going to bed early…anything you like to unwind!)
One thing I’ve particularly been enjoying as the weather starts to cool down, is taking a relaxing bath. Now, I’m not the most patient person, so I’m usually good with my 5 minute shower. But as I start to practice self care more, I’ve become more at peace with the idea of actually spending time doing nothing. (I know, it can be a scary thought for some of us!)
I would like to challenge you to pick a relaxing activity, (anything you like!) and commit to spend at least 30 minutes on it one time this week. I promise you’re going to love the effects you feel from it!
I would personally recommend making some of these DIY aromatherapy bath salts, getting into the tub, and putting on your favourite chill playlist. Not only is taking for your mind, but also has amazing benefits for your body and muscles. (For those of you who have sore muscles, your body will thank you!)
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
- Store in a jar.
- When your ready to use them, draw a bath and pour ¼ cup-1/2 cup of the jar into your bath.
