Description

This easy homemade Mediterranean Pizza recipe is ready in 30 minutes for a delicious dinner everyone will love!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pack store bought pizza dough (approx 440g/15.5oz)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1.5 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup pitted Kalamata, sliced in half
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 red pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup feta, crumbled
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • fresh basil to top (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 525℉. Place a pizza pan in the oven for 5 minutes so it’s hot. Brush the pan with a little olive oil.
  2. Prepare the pizza dough according to the package instructions. Shape the dough on parchment paper or a lightly floured surface, pressing down on the center, and stretching in your hands too, leaving the outer crust slightly raised. You use do this entirely by hand or also use a rolling pin to roll out the dough until you’ve formed a 12 – 13 inch circle.
  3. Gently lift the dough and slide onto the hot pizza pan.
  4. Spoon pizza sauce on the center of the dough and spread with the back of a spoon, leaving a 1 inch edge at the crust.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the pizza sauce.
  6. Layer with red onion, Kalamata olives, sun-dried tomatoes, red pepper, oregano, and top with feta and pinch of salt and pepper.
  7. Brush the crust with olive oil.
  8. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the crust is golden.
  9. Remove the pizza and let it cool for a few minutes before topping fresh basil and olive oil and slicing into 8 pieces.

Notes

  • Preheat oven & pan to 525°F for a crispier crust.
  • Lightly flour your surface before rolling to prevent the dough from sticking.
  • Roll dough thin for even baking and balanced toppings.
  • Don’t overload toppings to prevent a soggy crust.
  • Brush crust with olive oil for a golden, crispy edge.
  • Let pizza rest before slicing to set toppings and avoid sogginess.
