Description

A simple and healthy green breakfast smoothie that will leave you feeling your best!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 small banana, frozen
  • 1/2 cup pineapple
  • 1 handful kale or spinach
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp plant-based protein powder (optional)
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup almond milk

Instructions

Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth.

Pour into a glass and serve.


Notes

Start by adding a small handful of greens to your smoothie and work your way up if you enjoy the taste. Don’t add too much greens or you’ll end up with a smoothie that doesn’t taste great.

If you’re looking to keep your smoothie low sugar, try to add less than 1 cup of fruit to your smoothie.

Add in your favourite superfoods to this smoothie like turmeric, spirulina and maca powder.

Substitute frozen cauliflower for the frozen banana if you’d like a low-sugar smoothie option.

I recommend using unflavoured or vanilla protein powder.
