Description

Delicious peanut butter dates that taste similar to a Snickers bar!

Ingredients

Units
  • 10 medjool dates
  • 2-3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2-3 tbsp crushed peanuts
  • 150g melted dark chocolate
  • Sea salt to top (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make a cut in each date with a knife and remove and discard the pits.
  2. Add a small spoonful of peanut butter to the center of each date, being careful not to overfill the dates.
  3. Add a sprinkle of crushed peanuts and use your hands to gently press the dates to close them slightly.
  4. Use a toothpick to pick up each date and dip into a bowl of melted dark chocolate, then place onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with additional crushed peanuts and sea salt.
  5. Place in the fridge or freezer for 30 minutes to set.

Notes

Use Medjool dates for the best caramel-like flavour.
Choose fresh, plump dates so the texture stays soft and chewy.
Creamy or crunchy peanut butter both work well.
Use good quality dark chocolate for the best flavour.
Chill the stuffed dates briefly if the peanut butter is runny.
Add toppings right after dipping so they stick before the chocolate sets.
