Description

Make a coconut cloud blue spirulina right at home!


Ingredients

Units Scale

Smoothie

  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1/2 cup sliced pineapple, frozen
  • 1/4 of an avocado
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/2 tsp blue spirulina
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (sub any milk)
  • handful of ice

To decorate (optional)

  • 2 tbsp coconut cream (from the top of a can)
  • 1/4 tsp blue spirulina powder

Instructions

  1. Add all the smoothie ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until combined.
  2. To decorate, optionally use a spoon to scoop out coconut cream from the top of a can of coconut milk and spoon 2 tablespoons of coconut cream into the bottom of a tall glass and then sprinkle 1/4 tsp of spirulina powder into the glass.
  3. Pour the smoothie into the glass and use a straw to gently swirl together.

Notes

You can still make this smoothie without spirulina. Just omit in the recipe. 

Add any mix-in you love.
