5 Time Management Tips To Boost Your Productivity
These 5 Time Management Tips To Boost Your Productivity are simple actions you can take each day that can help you get more done in less time!
The time management problem
In a recent Choosing Chia survey when asked “what do you struggle with the most right now” over 85% of people stated time management, or simply even “time.”
Let me tell you, I am most definitely familiar with the feeling too. In today’s
The only problem is that trying to do too much and not having a proper time management system in place, we’re actually getting less done.
The following list is my top 5 time management tips to boost your productivity, manage your time, relieve stress, and get more done in less time!
1. Do the most important things first
We all have those tasks that sit on our to-do list day after day that we keep pushing off and can never seem to actually get done. It always seems like things just keep coming up and get in the way of us making it to that workout class or writing that blog post…like we just don’t have enough time.
The most effective way to actually get these tasks done is to do them first. No excuses. I write down a list of my top 3 tasks I want to get done each day (non-negotiable) and do them first. Wake up and go to that workout class, write that blog post, and start that Pinterest account that you keep putting off.
Tip: There are helpful journals like the Productivity Planner and the Full Focus Planner that are designed around this concept.
2. Create a schedule…and stick to it.
Say hello to your new BFF…Google calendars. You can use whatever calendar system you like, (or even a piece of paper) but what’s important is to create a weekly schedule somewhere and stick to it.
Treat everything on your calendar as you would (hopefully) treat a doctor’s appointment. You show up for others, so make it a non-negotiable to show up for yourself. By creating a schedule you’ll be able to clearly see what you have to do for the week laid out in front of you and be able to effectively get it all done.

3. Remove all distractions
Phones, notifications, Netflix in the background…say goodbye! It’s time to remove any and all distractions that are keeping you from achieving your goals.
You’d be shocked how much time we can waste answering our phone every time a notification goes off. Find anything that is distracting you from your task at hand and remove it. You’ll be surprised how this can instantly make you 10x more productive.
Tip: Try this activity: grab a notebook and make a dash in it every time you pick up your phone throughout the day. You may be surprised!
4. Batch work
Batch working is my #1 favourite way to get more done in less time. The concept of batch working is simple. It’s basically grouping like tasks together so you’re not jumping around from one task to another. Look at your life. Is there anything you can batch work?
Batch working is a total game-changer that will make you more productive working on the task at hand, and will free up TONS of your time.
Tip: Try meal prepping on Sunday and save time having to cook from scratch all week long.
5. Take breaks with intention
One big issue with time management is that we often forget (or feel like we don’t have time) to take time for ourselves. As much as it’s important to be productive and get everything checked off our never-ending to-do list, it’s equally important to take actual breaks for ourselves.
Schedule some time for some self-care activities, even if it’s just a 10-minute walk to get some fresh air or a 5-minute meditation. Scheduling breaks will give you time to recharge your batteries without feeling guilty and come back to that to-do list feeling refreshed and ready to take on anything!
Tip: block off time in your calendar for your breaks. If your breaks are scheduled, your more likely to take them.
Your turn!
