Favorite green smoothie
This is my favorite green smoothie recipe that I love to have almost every day of the week!
No matter what season or month it is, there’s one thing I always enjoy having: a green smoothie.
During the summer I have a smoothie almost every day. I usually start each morning in the warmer months with some sort of smoothie, and I generally try to make sure I’m always adding some sort of “hidden veggies” into my smoothies.
Hiding veggies in smoothies has become much more popular recently. I’ve even seen more restaurants and cafes serving smoothies with kale or cauliflower in them!
In the winter months, I definitely cut back on smoothies a lot, but I still enjoy to have them a couple times a week. I especially like green smoothies in the winter months since I also eat less raw veggies overall. (Gotta have cooked chilies and soups in the winter after all!)
What are some of the benefits of drinking a green smoothie?
-
Improves digestion
-
Increases energy
-
Strengthens your immune system
-
Helps promote healthy skin and hair
There are of course many other benefits to drinking green smoothies. One thing I love about having a green smoothie (especially in the morning) is that I know whatever happens the rest of the day I’ve already had a serving of healthy raw veggies!
This is my favorite green smoothie recipe. I like to use spinach in the recipe, but you can also use kale or any other greens that you love. One thing I also love to do for this recipe is to buy spinach and freeze it in a Tupperware. This way I always spinach ready to go to blend up into a delicious smoothie!

Im lactose intolerant…. what should I sub for the nut milk? Almond milk bothers me too.
Hi Pete! Almond milk has no lactose in it, but if that bothers you, you can us any type of plant-based milk! (soy milk, hemp milk, oat milk are all good!)
Can i prep smoothies for 2 or 3 days worth? If so, how to propely store
Hi Shaquanda, I wouldn’t recommend preparing this in advance since they can melt. You would have to store them in the freezer, but then you would need to reblend them in the morning!
Gorgeous smoothie! I love simple recipes that are healthy and delicious 🙂 The vibrancy of the green color is absolutely wonderful!
Thanks Cassie! It’s my classic go to smoothie I have all the time…even in the winter!
This looks really yummy Jess! This sounds weird but I wonder if this would taste good warm? Maybe add warm milk to it?
Thanks Maria! That could be really interesting for a winter warming smoothie!
