Two weeks ago I embarked on a “journey” of sorts, taking part in the 14 day Activia challenge. (To learn more about the experience of myself and the members of my team click here!)

The Activia challenge is a 14-day commitment to make more mindful choices and to enjoy an Activia twice a day for 14 days. This challenge is a stepping stone towards developing long-term healthy habits!

I started the Activia challenge with a few hopes and goals in mind.

  1. Commit to healthier eating overall
  2. Work on developing better gut health
  3. Challenge myself by committing to trying something new

Well, I’m pleased to announce that I’ve achieved all these goals!

Here is my reflection on the 14 day Activia Challenge

I started noticing some changes after about one week of the challenge. I noticed I felt less bloated overall, and my tummy seemed to be rumbling less after eating than it has in the past.

I enjoyed the Activia pure yogurt (plain flavour) throughout the challenge. This yogurt is vegetarian-friendly, and I liked that I could flavour it with fresh fruits and other toppings.

I also noticed I felt more full while doing the Activia challenge. I don’t know if this has to do with an increase in protein or calcium in my diet, but for whatever reason, I wasn’t getting my usual 3 pm slump. (where I usually reach for some sort of carb-loaded snack.)

One thing I loved about the challenge was how easy it was to integrate eating Activia into my day. The small containers are great to take on the go, which I usually would for my afternoon snack. In the morning I enjoyed adding a container of Activia to my usual breakfast of chia pudding, oatmeal, or a yogurt parfait.

Being in the mindset of doing a “challenge” really helped me feel more in the zone to take on a healthier lifestyle. I’m already quite active regularly but felt more committed to working out, and eating healthier during the 14-day challenge.

Moving forward I plan to maintain my commitment to this healthier lifestyle, including being active, eating well and making sure to take care of my health!
