These Strawberry Cheesecake Pudding Jars taste strawberry cheesecake but they’re made with Greek yogurt for a healthier dessert or snack with 12 grams of protein per serving.

If you loved my Key Lime Pie Pudding Jars, these strawberry cheesecake jars are the next flavour you need to try. They use that same creamy Greek yogurt base thickened with a touch of vanilla pudding mix and cream cheese with layers of fresh strawberries and nilla wafers. It’s similar to my High Protein Banana Pudding but for strawberry lovers!
Make a batch at the start of the week for a high-protein treat ready to grab from the fridge anytime. If you’re craving more strawberry treats my Healthy Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp and my Strawberry Mango Popsicles are some reader favourite for summer.
Recipe Highlights
- 12 grams of protein per jar: Thanks to the Greek yogurt base these jars are packed with protein to keep you full and satisfied, similar to my Greek Yogurt Tiramisu.
- Tastes like real cheesecake: The cream cheese and vanilla pudding mix combine to create a rich, tangy filling that gives you all the flavour you love in a cheesecake!
- No-bake and no-fuss: Just mix, layer, and chill.
- Meal prep friendly: These store well in the fridge for 3 days, making them an easy make-ahead snack or dessert for the week.
Key Ingredients & Substitutions

Greek yogurt: I use 2% plain Greek yogurt for a richer taste which I also love using in my Greek Yogurt Chocolate Mousse, but any percentage you like works. (Just make sure to use very THICK yogurt!) You can also swap in blended cottage cheese, like I do in my Protein Chia Pudding. (just also make sure it’s a thick variety for the best texture.)
Instant vanilla pudding mix: This is what thickens the yogurt into that rich, cheesecake-like filling. Make sure the box says “instant,” not “cook and serve.” The classic Jell-O brand works great, or look for a sugar-free option like Simply Desserts if you prefer.
Strawberries: Use fresh ripe strawberries. Frozen can be substituted if needed but it really wont give the same result! (Frozen also tends to be more watery.)
Nilla wafers: These soften into cake-like layers as the jars chill, similar to a graham cracker crust. Graham crackers or gluten-free vanilla cookies both make easy swaps.
How To Make A Greek Yogurt Strawberry Pudding Jar
*This is a recipe overview. The full recipe with measurements and instructions can be found below in the recipe card.

Step 1: Mix together the Greek yogurt, cream cheese, pudding mix, maple syrup and vanilla.

Step 2: Layer in the bottom of a round dish or a jar.

Step 3: Layer with nilla wafers.

Step 4: Layered with chopped strawberries. Let sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours so the wafers soften for best results.
How To Store
Store these strawberry cheesecake jars covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The Nilla wafers will continue to soften as they sit, so if you like a bit of crunch, enjoy them within the first day or add a few extra wafers on top just before serving.
Jess’s Tips
- Use instant pudding mix: Cook-and-serve pudding won’t thicken the yogurt properly. Double check the box says “instant.”
- Let the cream cheese soften: Room temperature cream cheese blends into the yogurt mixture much more smoothly than cold.
- Taste as you sweeten: Start with 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, then taste and add more if needed.
- Chill for the best texture: These are good right away if you like a crunchy cookie layer, but even better after at least 2 hours in the fridge once the wafers soften.
- Try macerating the strawberries: Chop them into small pieces and mix with 1 teaspoon of sugar or maple syrup. Let sit for 10 minutes. This breaks down the strawberries and will intensify their flavour.
